TAS LAB Trustworthy Autonomous Systems Laboratory

Shiyu Bai (Member, IEEE) received his Ph.D. in Navigation, Guidance, and Control from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), Nanjing, China, in 2022. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In 2024, he also served as a visiting scientist at Leibniz University Hannover.

He has published over ten SCI papers (TAES, TIE, TITS, etc.) as the first and corresponding author. His accolades include the Youth Innovation Doctoral Dissertation Award from the Chinese Society of Inertial Technology (中国惯性技术学会优博) in 2024, the University’s Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award from NUAA in 2024, the Best Presentation Award at the 2nd Chinese Association of Automation Doctoral Academic Exchange Conference in 2024, and First Place in the Science and Technology Committee of the Central Military Commission’s “Challenge Underground 2020 Competition” in 2020.
