Hong Kong Polytechnic University and LinXAI Robotics establish joint lab for space robotics and embodied AI

Hong Kong, March 21, 2025 – The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and Guangdong LinXAI Robotics Co., Ltd. (LinXAI Robotics) today signed a landmark agreement to establish the Space Robotics and Embodied Intelligence Joint Laboratory, marking a significant step in advancing research and industrial applications of intelligent robotics.

The collaboration combines PolyU’s expertise in robotic algorithms and AI perception with LinXAI’s hardware integration and advanced legged robotic systems. Key focuses include lunar/Martian adaptability, safety mechanisms, and real-world healthcare and service applications.

The joint lab aims to bridge academic research and industrial innovation, fostering talent exchange and co-development of cutting-edge technologies.

The collaboration underscores Hong Kong’s role as a hub for interdisciplinary innovation and aligns with the Greater Bay Area’s strategic focus on smart manufacturing and advanced technologies.
