TASLAB Showcases Autonomous Delivery Vehicle at PolyU Info Day 2026

On 10 October 2026, the Trustworthy AI and Autonomous Systems Laboratory (TASLAB) took part in the PolyU Information Day for Undergraduate Admissions 2026 at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). At the Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering (AAE) exhibition area, Prof Weisong WEN and TASLAB members presented the lab’s trustworthy intelligent driving logistics vehicle to prospective students, parents and members of the public.

Trustworthy intelligent driving logistics vehicle

The highlight of the exhibit was TASLAB’s trustworthy intelligent driving logistics vehicle, a full-size autonomous delivery vehicle designed for safe and reliable last-mile logistics in Hong Kong’s dense urban environment. Built on the lab’s research in trustworthy AI and autonomous systems, the vehicle shows how intelligent driving technology can move from the laboratory to real-world logistics, with safety and reliability as core design principles. Visitors could take a close look at the vehicle and learn how TASLAB’s research is helping to shape the future of smart logistics and intelligent transportation.

Meeting prospective students and families

Throughout the day, the booth welcomed a steady stream of secondary school students and their families. Team members answered questions about the research, the AAE undergraduate programmes and student life at PolyU, and shared how undergraduates can get involved in research on autonomous systems, robotics and intelligent transportation.
