SHENZHEN – June 9, 2025 – Dr. Weisong Wen, Principal Investigator (PI) of the laboratory, together with postdoctoral researchers Dr. Shiyu Bai, Dr. Runqiu Yang, and Dr. Yingying Wang, and research assistant Xiangru Wang, recently visited Honor Device Co., Ltd. to discuss the continuity and future direction of the AI-driven pedestrian dead reckoning (AI-PDR) project.

During the visit, the researchers engaged in in-depth discussions with Honor’s director and engineering team, focusing on strategies to sustain and advance the AI-PDR initiative. The exchange of ideas on AI-PDR and robotics innovation fostered a deeper understanding of industry needs and research challenges. This collaborative effort aims to ensure the long-term viability and impact of the AI-PDR project, while strengthening ties between academia and industry for future partnerships in intelligent systems.
